When was the last time you were surprised by the vocal and musical abilities of a new musician?

Since 2021, Effervescent Sounds has been highlighting and showcasing emerging and undiscovered singers in genres such as soul, RnB, pop and jazz at venues across London. To celebrate its 2nd anniversary, the music discovery platform has invited three powerful up-and-coming singers to share the stage. The vibe is intimate, the crowd is attentive and the venue is a magical, folkloric experience in Hoxton, East London.

At the bar you can drink our bespoke, guilt-free cocktail. Drink it and you’ll be supporting a fantastic charity that helps marginalised people in London.

Effervescent Sounds is a music discovery platform that introduces new artists with powerful voices through live sessions, interviews and live showcases in London.

Rising artist with a soulful sound inspired by musical legends such as D’Angelo, Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake and Usher. Since moving to London from the North in 2021, the BRIT School graduate has collaborated with esteemed platforms such as SBTV, Sofar Sounds, MOBO unSung and Soho House, gaining over 160k social media fans and over 20 million views on his content.

With over 13 years of professional experience, Harry has captivated audiences across the UK and around the world, travelling to almost 70 countries to perform. From intimate festival performances in London, to sold-out shows in Paris, to sessions at Abbey Road with Grammy and Ivor Novello winning songwriters, Harry is making his moves and is aiming for 2024 to be a big year.

Raised on a musical diet of soul, reggae and jazz, the London-based singer-songwriter and producer began developing her craft at the age of 12. After studying at the Brit School, Tomorrow’s Warriors and the Guildhall, her undeniable talent and hard work earned her overwhelming critical support from BBC Radio 1, Rinse FM and 1Xtra.

Her impeccable live performances earned her a personal recommendation from Nile Rodgers to perform at the Meltdown Festival at London’s Southbank Centre. Kianja creates emotional ballads and uplifting anthems, citing Gladys Knight, Oleta Adams, Sade, Whitney Houston and Diana Ross as her influences.

Winnie Ama is part of a new breed of electronic artists who love to blend conscious lyrics and soulful vocals with pop and dance rhythms. Born and raised in Belfast, the Northern Irish-Ghanaian artist has been supported by local and national radio including BBC Radio1. This year she gave a TEDx talk and performed in Dublin, London, Belfast, Liverpool, NYC and Boston.

Winnie has also received acclaim from Macy Gray and Sister Sledge, who invited her to open their shows in Cork and Belfast respectively. She headlined the BBC Introducing Stage at Latitude in 2022 and performed at Glastonbury in 2023. As well as DJing, she also has a weekly radio show on Colourful Radio featuring new Future Soul and RnB music.
