TARANTOLA – Tarantola is an explosive London-based band that connects with audiences through collaborations and highly energetic shows! The band includes musicians and guests from different countries, cultures, and heritage as part of a family where cultural diversity is celebrated as an essential form of connection and exchange. Their music combines modern reggae beats with soulful and catchy melodies mixed with bouncy rhythms, slang, and sounds reminiscent of South Italy and the Mediterranean. Their shows combine high-energy performances, intimate moments of interaction with the crowd together with captivating songs that will not let your feet keep still! Mauro Lacandia, (lead singer, songwriter, and producer) straight from Salento, (The Jamaica of Italy)  seeks to recreate the legend of “Taranta” (the traditional music from the boot of Italy): the spider that bites people and brings them to a state of trance that can only be cured with music, dance, and love! Tarantola expands their musical web with each release, collaborating with established artists such as Awa Fall, supported by the Italian Reggae Ambassador Treble Lu Professore (former Sud Sound System, Boomdabash, Mama Marjas) and The Sound Of Everything. Having been featured in Irie Magazine, been interviewed on Rai2 Tv NEWS (Italian national TV), and performed in many prestigious venues and festivals such as Koko (London) supporting The Feeder, Bestival (Lulworth Castle), Hootananny (Brixton-Sold Out), Arts by the River Festival (Bournemouth – Headliners)! Tarantola is now working on “One Blood”, a new album of collaborations featuring International Reggae Artists and musicians.

FILIPPO BONES – Filippo Bones felt in love with music at a very young age through rhythm. Rhythm was everything and it took very little before he self-taught how to play drums. Although in his career played many different styles, Reggae has been a big influence along funk and all the 70s – 80’s groovy genres. After a long journey he decided to give up drumming, and few years later, through an old friend, he started singing and recording some ideas that then became songs. That was the moment when he decided to make his first debut record in his home studio based in North London (South Tottenham) in a neighbourhood where there still the sense of community and people hang on the streets. “Filippo claimed that this is the place that has inspired his songs.” His music is made of 3 main ingredients: Groove, melody and the message: “music from the people, for the people”. It comes across as a very positive and upbeat style but there is also a message of hope, revolutionary at times.
