THE PEACH FUZZ – The Peach Fuzz returned from the 2020 pandemic by signing to Modern Sky Records in 2021 and their single “Never Wanna See The Light” was a perfect slice of summer indie pop as the nation came out of lockdown. They followed it up with the more introspective “Afterglow”. The song represents the shiny and slick reflections of midnight machinery in the oily waters of New Brighton pier, a lingering effect left long after leaving someone’s company.
With the same duo at the helm of Bill Ryder Jones, (The Coral) on production duties, and Tom Longworth mixing, yet a very different sound, it shows the wide band of sounds and emotions they are able to capture.
LOW LYING SUN – Low Lying Sun are a four-piece band from Essex, England. Hot off the success of their debut single‘Car Crash’(Featured on BBC Introducing East’s ‘Weekly Vibe’ &Spotify’s ‘New Noise’), the band are gearing up for a massive 2022 with the release of their follow-up single ‘Hymn To Say Goodbye’ and their debut EP both scheduled for Q1.
Formed of frontman Michael Hemmings, guitarist Ross Connell, bassist Matt Chan, and drummer Noah Booth, their music is lively & introspective, combining ambitious orchestrations, earnest storytelling, and an energy that feels at once both fresh and timeless.
HOT PAINT – Hot Paint are four piece Alt/Indie band blending classic garage rock with their trademark indelible hooks.
The band consists of Harry Curley (bass), Ted Tooley (guitar/vocals), Jimmy Chambers (guitar/vocals) and Toby De Salis (drums). Hailing from various different corners of the UK (London, Sheffield, Brighton and Plymouth respectively), the band came together whilst in their first year at drama school, and specialize in music that tells a story through their tongue in cheek lyrics, and vibrant chord progressions.
